Would not recommend
Very complicated, 19 pages of instructions. Daughter helped set the alarm then I lost power so she had to come back and help me reset. I have now installed the eight D batteries required for back-up. The time is only displayed when unit is on, a disadvantage if you want to know the time during the night. There are several inserts for various ipod models but the insert doesn't snap in, so it pops out when you remove your ipod.
Very is good sound, remote is also nice.

Fantastic quality, great sound
I was very leary about getting an ipod docking station that sounded "tinny"... but the quality is fantastic. Love the look, nice design. Only wish it had a light that stayed lit all night. Good dimmer, good reception on radio. I agree with the last reviewer... it is a little confusing getting the instructions right because it has a lot of features...

a little confusing
usually I can set something like this up- without reading the directions. This item came with the most confusing directions I have ever been forced to read. I bought 2, one for each child. I set the time and told my husband to set the alarms- I don't know if he did.

I have the iHome for myself- get that instead. The iHome is much better & I didn't need to read the instructions.
