For music only 3
It has been 2 years since i got this, and it's pretty durable. Doesn't play ANY of my WMA files, so I had to copy those songs onto a CD, and then put it back on the computer, rename the songs, and finally put it on the player. Very annoying. It also can't hold basically any video, so dont even think about putting any movies on!

Worthy purchase, but beware of "refurbrished" 4

I ordered one from microcenter.
The design was a bit surprising: on the website they posted a pic of model c for some reason. Series "e" in comparison looks like a brick.
Slot for external memory card! Cool. Easy navigation, supports many languages, pretty colorful display. Everything was great except the battery refused to charge for more than half, and I had to return it to the store and order another one immediately.
The main catch is that it works for about 20 hours and does not require alkaline batteries. You can listen to music with back light turned off, and it saves a lot of energy. I had another player of similar design without this feature, and its battery died in four hours, even though it was supposed to last all ten.
There is a bunch of different settings to play with. Enjoy)
Lack of manual is not deadly, but I'd prefer to have one. You can transfer music directly, however for photos and videos you need to download some software. Takes some google research.
Also, consider getting a skin or some kind of case. This device scratches easily and attracts fingerprints.
$30+tax+shipping($5)+external micro sd($7)+tax=4 gig mp3/video player for little more than $40. Well, closer to fifty with a skin. Still, a good purchase for a reasonable price.

DOA 1
Mine was dead within 5 minute of being attached to the computer after charging. The screen turned blue and the seller wanted to have it checked. I just wanted a refund. Not another product who which should have been checked when it was mailed to me.

It was purchased for a kid who did not need a big multi gig for xmas.

I would not accept this player free if reconditioned and DOA.
It could be a good product I'll never know as it's not heavy enough to use as a paper weight.

Remember never not buy electronics from a barn.

VERY SIMPLE 5
I LOVE IT FOR THE TYPE OF WORK I AM DOING ALWAYS THERE WENT I NEED IT. SO SMALL TO HANDLE.

iPod Family up for Adoption, Welcome the Sansas 5
I have been always an iPod user. I have owned 12 iPods in my lifetime and after awhile I got tired of them dying and how expensive they are compared to others. I came across this because of its price and the great 4.6 out of 5.0 reviews. I took my chance and boy I sure glad I did. I got something that offered so much more at a fraction of the cost of an iPod Nano. This has great video, sound is awesome, and the feature I use the most is now the recorder. I used to take my tape recorder to school so if I pass out, I have back up. Now I just put the sansa on recording and picks up VERY WELL. I sit about 4 rows (11ft away) and it picks up my old fart professor talking. FM Radio works great, and pictures are fine. Haven't tired audiobooks but will give a follow up.

Once you go Sansa, you never go back
