You get what you pay for
I thought I was getting a great bargain buying this unit a year ago. A year later, I've recently noticed my PC shutting down mysteriously. Now the cooling fan is making a gawd awful noise like something's come loose and is getting knocked around by the fan blades...I wouldn't recommend.
Dont Buy this item.
I purchased this product few weeks ago after install it had been caused damage to my motherboard and CPU. I do not recommend it.
LifeSaver
Received this power supply as a replacement for a DYNAMAX, which I could not find anywhere. Have had the power supply in now for a week, and works very well. It was a "lifesaver" and I was able to get back up and running with no problems.
There may be better power supplies out there, but this was available at the right price.
cheap, but reliable PSU
I have used this PSU for over 7 months now, it works very well. Considering the low price, I think this is a good PSU. Certainly I only use this PSU for a low end computer. For a high-end computer, I would use better but much more expensive PSU.
totally junk and extreamly bad customer service
This thing stopped working within 5 weeks, then called CoolMax customer service for the waranty, sent in the fried PSU, 4 weeks later get a letter saying the PSU was out of warranty because inproper use. called them again, they still refuse to honor their warranty saying that it is my right to sue them if I feel I should get the replacement. Never ever had such bad experiences with any vendor. Later found out Coolmax is a taiwan junk company coming to US to sell cheap low-quality products, they have big problems to hornor their warranty and rebates, etc. You can find it out from BBB.org to see how many complains they got. avoid them.
