really nice cooler
this is an excelent cooler, keeps my laptop nice and cool. If you have a laptop you really need one of these coolers.

Noticeably cools down the laptop
I have an HP dv20000 at 14.1 inches its a little less than average sized. This unit fits it well and is USB powered which is very convinient. My laptop used to run very warm, now its just a little warm if keeping this unit constantly on. The only thing I don't like is that it raises it more then you would expect, especially from the back, and theres nothing under neath it so you can't use your laptop, well, in your lap, it has to be on a desk. Overall good product but keep it on your desk and expect your laptop to be pretty high in the air and tilted, some may like this but I don't. I also do not like the look, it looks very cheaply made and strange under my laptop.

Useless
I've bought this one for my 15" Dell. This product is indeed looks and performs cheap. While all 3 fans are working my laptop is just as hot as it was w/o this thing. Verdict - useless.

Don't buy it.
After few months, the USB cable stopped working because its cheap quality. Dont buy it as its not durable.

great little cooler so far
i received this product today so obviously i dont have a lot of use out of it just yet. but then again, i dont usually leave reviews. i'd like to say the quality of this item exceeded my expectations so far. it's actually a piece of metal with three little fans, seemingly the kind you'd find in the back of the desktop enclosure.

i've been debating for a while to get a cooler since my powerbook g4 gets pretty darn hot. but so far, my computer's been running for a good 1.5 hours and it is COOL. not warm, but the same temperature it would be if it were OFF. i am amazed.

the first thing i noticed when i took it out of the box (which looked like it was from china) was that it was metal. it's not plastic, but pretty sturdy.

the second thing is that it has rubber grommets that hold the computer up without scratching it, and so it doesnt contact the bottom.

the third... it is QUIET. when you plug it into the usb and flick the on switch, it's so much quieter than the mac's internal fan.

i hope it lasts. it seems like it was worth the money. it's funny, but i'd hate to think what it would be like to receive a plastic cooler. or a cooler with only ONE fan. this one has three! it has plenty of room to channel air through. i did plenty of reading of the other coolers.

i can think of one downside, however, and it is that the design doesnt accomodate on-the-lap usage. it's built to sit on your desk. oh well. no problem.

i gave it 4 stars because i havent put in an endurance test. i figured 4 stars is fair! so far i recommend this product. check out the two pictures i've uploaded. they're the ones that don't look ver professional. but i hope you get the idea.
