Very Noisy 4
This cooler keeps the temperature of my 3.0 Ghz Pentium 4 well under control but the fan makes a lot of noise in process.

A good cooler for a celeron server.... 3
This is a decent cooler, for a Celeron, or something not so high performance for the socket 478 platform. I purchased it for a P4 Northwood 3.0 gHz. The fan runs at 4000+ rpm, and is very noisy. The PC in question is in our daughter's bedroom, and needs to be quiet, as this cooler is not. Temps were no better than the factory Celeron cooler that we ran temporarily on the P4 until it could be replaced (60+ degrees Celsius under load. Way too close to the 70 degree max for the P4). I kept this unit for a Celeron file server in our laundry room, where noise isn't a concern, and temps are easy). I have an Intel P4 "3.4 gHz, and above" cooler for the Northwood computer now, and it is running great (about 45 degrees Celsius under load). All in all, this Evercool cooler looks great, and is very well built. It is however, a little hard to mount, but mounts very solidly. It cools a Celeron 2.6 very well, but leave the P4's and such to better, quieter coolers.

Mike's CPU Fan Review 5
This CPU cooler fan has not only cool-looks, but fit my system perfectly. It always helps to know the "socket" size so you don't buy the wrong cooler. (I'm still learning) It is suggested that any buyer consider purchasing the mounting bracket just in case (like I did) the old one breaks when attempting to install this one. Watch out! You must press firmly-the fan-to get the legs to catch in the bracket: It is "spring-loaded".

It is quiet, has that fan grill on top to keep fingers away and seems like it may last quite awhile. Good price, delivered promptly.
