Silent power
Cool, power and silence is what I have to tell of this Power Supply, I got an Intel core 2 quad with a Nvidia 9800GTX, a X48 Intel Motherboard, and an Antec Nine Hundred Case, it has enought power for my PC, all the connections I need, and also the lenght of the cables is one thing I was worried about, a generic Power Supply don't have the necessary lenght for this kind of case, because it has the position of the power supply on the bottom of the case. Before this Power Supply I knew when my PC was turned on, because of the sound it made, now to be honest is peace and quiet all time and cool.
Just what you'd expect
It's hard to write a helpful review on such a mundane item as a power supply. Yet it's reassuring to hear from another person that has used it successfully. A level to get beyond the word from the manufacturer.
So here it is:
I bought this power supply to replace an ailing one in my PC. And it worked just like you hoped: get it, unpack it, screw it in, connect the plugs, and it works and you forget about it from there on.
Key things to look for: fit, connector count and fit, cable length and organization, noise level, realiability.
This unit performed well on all of those levels - with reliability of course being judged whether it will still do this 2 years down the road. I found the cables nicely bundled, it had suffient connectors (including SATA for my drives), and it doesn't make a lot of noise compared to the one it replaced. But that is a relative measure and depends a lot on the environment you use it in.
I would buy it again.
