Good Power Supply but...
I bought this power supply to replace the stock Dell Inspiron 530 power supply so I could upgrade to a XFX Nvidia 8800GT card.
First off this power supply's cables are HUGE... If you have a small case you'll be begging to find room for the super long cables. That is why I gave it 4 out of 5 stars. Longer is always better than not being able to reach I guess...
The power supply does run REALLY quiet. Compared to the stock Inspiron 530 it is sweet. However, the fan blows air directly into the case (on my CPU) but since the air is colder than the CPU it helps cool the CPU. According to CoreTemp my CPUs run 5C cooler - may or may not be related... :)
Good power supply especially if you have a huge case and need super long cables. Also, it is very quiet.
This is a fine power supply
The unit is doing a fine job with my new built computer with Q6600 and Nvidia 8600gts. It fits perfectly with Antect P180. One of the things I don't like is the plain box. Besides that, everything is great.
Satisfied
I bought this as a beefier replacement for my older power supply when I upgraded to a 8800 series graphics card.
Not a whole lot to say about it- it works. The large single cooling fan seems to keep temperatures cool, while making relatively little noise. I've been running it in my new PC for about 4 months and haven't had any trouble yet. I'm sure there are fancier power supplies out there, but overall, I feel this was a good purchase.
