Product Description
Frequent travelers see the problem often: not enough outlets in a hotel room, the meeting suite, or presentation room. Ordinary power strips are bulky, cumbersome things, with thick dangling cords and boxy dimensions that make carrying them in a thin laptop case or small travel bag almost impossible.Designed for travel from the ground up, the award-winning Monster design team created a truly portable outlet strip: Outlets To Go. Exclusive Monster features include ultra-flat design with FlatProfile Plug and FlatWrap Cord for neat and compact storage. Outlets To Go is so light and thin that you'll take it everywhere! Better yet, the space-saving 3-outlet Dual-Side design with extra-wide spaced outlets prevents bulky AC adapters from blocking free outlets. If there is one thing more frustrating than checking into a hotel after a long day, searching for AC outlets and then finding just one lone socket at the base of a lamp, it's the anxiety of not knowing if this will happen tonight! With Outlets To Go you'll always have enough outlets to charge and power all your electronics.Outlets to Go 3 provides safe charging for up to three devices, and prevents overloads with its resettable circuit breaker. You'll have peace of mind knowing that all your portable devices are safe and ready to use, day and night.Customer reviews
Excellent Travel Power Strip
Some of the people that I follow on Twitter are frequent travellers. Before leaving on a week long trip, I asked how they are able to charge all of their electronics using the limited number of accessible power outlets in hotel rooms. One of the them recommended the Monster Power Outlets To Go
If you are a frequent traveler, this is an excellent power strip. While it "only" has 3 outlets, they are more than enough for your power needs. Two on one face, one on the other, means that any power need is met. The spacing between the two outlets is perfect for even the most bulky adapter. Outlets To Go is light enough to go in your laptop bag, and since the cord actually plugs into one of the outlets on the strip, it is very compact. Using a flat cord, and one that is attached to the end of the strip, you are provided with an extremely compact unit that maximizes the outlet spacing.
Using this power strip in an airport, hotel lobby, or other gathering place, will make you a very popular person. You see a lot of people congregating around the few outlets, but when you pull this out of your bag and plug it in, two other people will approach you, asking to use one of your available outlets. And if you are left alone, you will have the chance to recharge your Blackberry, iPhone, iPod, or any other electronic device.
Since I bought this, I can't believe that I traveled without it.
Nice small and easily stows away.
I really like this little guy. Folds away nicely, and great on a trip. So glad I bought it.
Great travel item
This is my second purchase of one of these. They are great for travel for those who, like myself, carry a computer, cell phone, bluetooth earpiece, etc., all of which need to be recharged in hotel rooms that don't have enough outlets. And it's nice to have them all recharging in one spot as opposed to all over the hotel room and bathroom, which can make them easy to leave behind.
This little unit is well built & compact. I lost my first one at a trade show where I needed an emergency powerstrip, so ran up to my room and got the first one I had bought. The guys who later tore down the show "forgot" to return it to me, therefore my second purchase. I guess they thought it was a pretty cool little item, too.
Awesome for travelers - but beware pricing errors
If you travel frequently, this is a lifesaver. Hotels almost never have enough outlets for all your gear. This solves the issue in a tiny size package that disappears in a laptop bag or briefcase. It's one of the best travel purchases I have ever made.
But beware pricing errors - the manufacturer's suggested retail price is only $14.95, and Amazon was selling them for $11.95 last month. Now suddenly they are $17 here and Amazon claims the MSRP is $26. Not true, it's still $14.95 on the manufacturers web site. Hopefully this is just an error and it will be fixed - if not, buy it from somewhere else, or from one of the other Amazon partners who sell it here for around $10.
Nice handy travel accessory
Used it during my recent trip to China. Worked as advertised. Like the blue LED illuminating the logo.
